Despite my best efforts to ignore all the controversy between JYPE, Jay, and Hottests, it feels like it’s finally time to vent after their recent press conference with the fans. For those of you who do not know, it has been announced that Jay will not be returning to 2PM. Ever. No chance. Zilch. Of course, fans who have been led on these past couple of months, anticipating his comeback, are furious, and understandably so. Supposedly Jay personally did something so serious that it does not warrant forgiveness from his company, and the other 6 members have agreed to release him permanently. Details as to what he did back in the summer of the Again&Again promotions have not been disclosed, but many are already spreading rumors about all the possibilities from substance abuse to impregnating some girl.

Well, here is my take on this issue. I’m still curious about what Jay did. It must be worse than a DUI or drug abuse, because celebrities who have done that were eventually forgiven or at the very least tolerated. We can’t blame the other members for feeling betrayed. I think they were just as stressed out about this as all the fans were. And when you think about it, if Jay really did do something so seriously offensive, wouldn’t the members who knew him personally be even more hurt by this?

I was anticipating his return, too, but I think this might be the best course of action if what transpired could really tarnish Jay’s reputation. In a very sad way, it’s kind of like remembering someone after their death (in this case, 2pm’s death). Wouldn’t you rather keep the good memories instead of holding a grudge against them? I’m sure many fans will be forgiving, but think about the damage the truth can do to him when released to the public. First we thought of Jay as some kind of martyr of wronged celebrities in the kpop world. What will we think of him now? Even if the fans are willing to embrace him with open arms, what about others in the industry Jay would have to see on a regular basis? Can he bear the shame of seeing these people if they know what he did?

Instead of demanding the truth to be revealed, maybe it’s best to just remember the joy 2pm (as a septet) brought to their fans instead of having it run the risk of defamation, in which case Jay may never have the chance to return to the industry.

What the heck? An actual update? Yessiree. After all, it’s Spring Break, although there’s a ton of work to be done. 3 papers, 2 flyers, 2 group projects, volunteer, completing service forms, regular homework, etc. What fun. Can’t wait till I’m out of the country next month.

• LJ Icons – new post with Buffy, Wonder Girls, Park Hyo Shin, and Boys Before Flowers. My icon making is super rusty at the moment.
• Tutorials – added 1 of how to make GIFs with .mov files.
• Wallpapers – added 1 of 2PM.

It’s up to the final three! The girls prepare for their CoverGirl commercial and will have to speak in Dutch. Whitney shows up looking real fake as usual and start advertising some random product. The girls will be delivering the commercial on a boat and end up kissing a guy. Sam’s individual part was okay, except she wasn’t making eye contact. McKey was very awkward and had difficulty saying her lines without moving her head already. And oh no! Annaleigh blanked out! Surprising, since she did so well for her last commercial. But she does better when Jay feeds her the lines. Then they take their pictures.

Samantha is spazzing out over being in the top five while Marjorie is still having major self-esteem issues. The girls’ next challenge is the go-sees. This time, they have to travel by boats, which are extremely slow (if only they had the time to admire the scenery!). Samantha goes to her first designer who says she’s very nice but thinks she’s too commercial. Poor girl. And she has such a sweet personality, too! McKey goes to her first designer who absolutely love her because you have to admit, McKey really looks unique (*cough*Joker). I love the dress she tried on. Sam, Marjorie, and Annaleigh get lost because of the weird roads and signs. Annaleigh pronounces the names funny. She gets good feedback when she finds her designer. Elina gets to her designer all sweaty and he doesn’t like it because she’s dirtying his gowns. haha He thinks she acts like a model but isn’t really one. Word. Marjorie gives up finding the first designer and goes to the second one. The designer could tell she was not comfortable in her own skin. Elina then sees that same designer to model lingerie and the designer doesn’t like her tattoos. Elina thinks it’s her way of expressing herself and took it too personal yet again. McKey is doing well and actually admires the scenery without worrying about the time. “Yay, sunshine!” She’s so cute. Unfortunately, she didn’t make it on time – she was about five seconds late and was disqualified. But she had the best feedback so if she had only made it on time, she would’ve won. Annaleigh won the challenge – $18,000 worth of stuff from the designers. Well, she deserves it, but I feel sorry for McKey. The girls are completely jealous. mwahaha Elina thinks she should’ve won, or McKey. Pfft, not with that attitude. Marjorie keeps moping as Annaleigh tries to cheer her up.

I started watching this show a week ago and found it pretty interesting because of the drama (well, that’s the point of reality TV). Wednesdays are going to be real busy… Anyway, the group gets a challenge to dress up mannequins. They go into Elle’s awesome closet to look for required items. Megan wins the challenge (I hate her, but she does have a good sense of style). Kate gets criticized for having her mannequin look like it was “dressed on crack.” Megan gets to choose her teammates for the next challenge and puts Ashlie with the two weaker girls, later claiming she didn’t do it intentionally. Whatever.
