So, I am finally posting up some drawings from my non-sketchbook Moleskine (which is why the pages kinda, er, bleed through each other). The pictures here are blurry and the lighting is crap because I suck at taking pictures. They look better in person, I swear.

First of all, happy 19th birthday to Henry, AKA Chicken Wings. =) I hope you had a good one. We shall hang out this summer again.

In not-so-happy news, I’m sure most of you have heard about the devastating 7.8 earthquake in 四川, China yesterday. My mom and I basically spent the whole afternoon watching news coverage of the tragedy. It was so heartbreaking to see people lose their parents, mothers lose their children, and friends lose their friends. The impact was so enormous that even Vietnam, Pakistan, and Thailand felt it. And the ground there is still shaking. The roads were all cracked so people had to travel by foot to rescue the victims. It’s good to know Chinese people still care about each other. After this event, I guess the Tibetans won’t be back in the spotlight for a while. Even with the Olympics coming up, this just doesn’t seem to be China’s year.
